Lampfall Keeper — the website and the Android app.
The short version: the game keeps your progress on your own device, it has no accounts, and we do not collect anything about you. The one exception is advertising in the Android app, which is described below.
What the game stores
Your progress — which nights you have finished, your Keeper's Marks, your storm streak, your settings — is written to your device's local storage by the game itself. It stays on that device. It is not sent anywhere, there is no account to sign in to, and we cannot see it.
Because it is stored locally, it does not follow you between devices, and clearing the app's data or the site's browser storage erases it permanently. The Reset option in Settings does the same thing deliberately.
What we collect
Nothing. We run no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting and no newsletter. We have no server that your game talks to. The website is static files; the app is those same files packaged for Android.
Advertising, in the Android app only
The app offers an optional rewarded advert in exchange for a hint. You are always asked first, and you can always decline — declining costs you the hint and nothing else. There are no adverts anywhere else in the app, and there are none at all on the website.
Those adverts are served by Google AdMob. To do that, Google may collect and use data, including an advertising identifier, in line with its own policies rather than ours. What Google collects and how it is used is described here:
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Google Privacy Policy
- AdMob and advertising identifiers
Your consent choices
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your advertising consent the first time it runs, using Google's User Messaging Platform. No advert is requested before you have answered.
You can change that answer at any time: open Settings in the game and choose Privacy options. That link appears only where consent applies — if you were never asked, there is no answer to change.
Declining personalised advertising does not restrict the game in any way. Every night, every puzzle and every hint remains available on exactly the same terms.
Children
Lampfall Keeper is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. See the Google links above for how advertising identifiers are handled.
